Can you bring food on a plane?

In general, you should have no problem bringing food on a plane. As long as you are not bringing a huge feast, you should be fine!

Sometimes they might ask you to not bring your drinks, though. If you bring drinks from outside the airport, they will not be allowed past the security screening.

However, if you buy a drink from one of the restaurants inside the airport or fill your water bottle after the security check, that should not be a problem.

One thing you should be aware of is that some fruits and vegetables, and occasionally drinks are not allowed through customs.

If you change planes in another country (for example, if you have a stopover in London on your way to Paris), the customs officer there may take away your fresh produce, meat, and drinks even if they passed security checks in your origin country.

I have even had unopened cans of soda taken away from me at these stops!
