What does Blast Off mean?
This is a phrasal verb, which is usually used to describe when a rocket or spacecraft ‘takes off’, or ‘launches into the sky’ from a launching site.

Blast off can also be used in a different context to simply describe when something is removed from something else with extreme force, a powerful charge, or pressure.
- They blasted the writing off the wall with a stream of sand.
- The CIA blasted the door off its hinges and stormed into the house.
