Why am I always tired?

Typically, being tired means that you are not getting enough sleep!

This could be a chronic thing (something that happens frequently over a period of time) or an acute thing (something that happens just once or for a short period of time). Either way, that means that you should be getting more sleep – not drinking more coffee or doing other things to help your body stay awake!

Most sleep experts say that adults should get around 8 hours of sleep, but this is only an average. Some people (like me!) need closer to 10 hours of sleep per night to avoid feeling drowsy in the morning. However, others can get by with about 6 hours every night, and never feel sleepy.

If you feel tired all the time, it could also be a significant harm to your mental abilities. Having a lack of sleep could mean that you are slower to process information, have a worse memory, and cannot function at your optimum level. The effects of sleep deprivation are very serious and quite dangerous!

Getting too little sleep has been linked to higher rates of diseases like heart disease and cancer. To make a long story short, you need to make sure you get enough sleep! Try to come up with a routine that you go before going to sleep, and keep your body going to sleep and waking up at about the same time every day.
