A simple -a is not a suffix.
Some suffixes that start with -a include -able (to be able to), -ac (pertaining to), -ade (the act or process of), -age (the process of), -aholic (someone with an obsession for), -al (relating to), etc.
However, “a” by itself does not count as a suffix.
