PERSONALITY vs CHARACTER

Character is a set of mental and moral qualities of a person which sets him apart from other people. Character is who we are.

For example: honesty, trust, loyalty, courage, etc.

  • He is a man of a good character, because he’s very trustworthy.

 

Personality is the outer appearance and behavior of a person. It may or may not be true to the character of the person. Personality is who we seem to be.

For example: being friendly, funny, interests and hobbies, etc.

  • She has an outstanding personality. She is funny and she likes kids.
