The teacher will focus on you ONLY. No one else is there to steal the attention 🙂
FOR YOU: use this advantage. Pay attention to the teacher at all times!
2. Topics are negotiable
The best part of a private lesson is that you get to choose what you want to do and what you want to talk about.
FOR YOU: choose the topics that you are interested in. That way the lessons will be not only knowledgeable, but also interesting.
3. Learn at your own pace
You can tell the teacher (usually the teacher will notice) how fast you want to learn English. You can ask for as many explanations as you need. You can slow down or learn faster.
FOR YOU: if you don’t understand something – say it. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want – the teacher is here for you and ONLY you! Also, don’t be embarrassed to tell the teacher to slow down a bit.

4. Fewer distractions
You are not in the classroom full of people. It’s just you and your teacher – you can easily focus on the lesson.
FOR YOU: focusing during the class is not as hard when it’s just you. Use it to your advantage – focus on the lesson, and learn as much as you can.
5. Choose your own learning materials
How cool is that? Do you want to learn about BUTTERFLIES in English? Or maybe about PLANETS? Bring the appropriate material to your teacher, and she/he will prepare a lesson based on your materials.
FOR YOU: this is your chance to learn about something that you’ve always wanted, but were never able in school or a group. Now, you can learn how to talk about different planets in English. How cool is that?
6. No peer pressure
You are free to do whatever you want – ask questions, talk about interesting topics, and even makes mistakes without anyone laughing at you.
FOR YOU: that means that you can practice your English without being scared that you’ll make a mistake. Even if you do make a mistake – your teacher will not judge you! He/she is there to help you and support you. So just SPEAK, SPEAK , SPEAK!
