Using Idioms and Phrasal Verbs with Native and Non-native Speakers!

Your rule number one says to use idioms and phrasal verbs, phrases while speaking, but when I try to use them my mind says whether the listener know the meaning of it?

So I use the same old words. Is that correct? What can be the solution?

Hi!

Glad to hear from you!

You are right! It always depends on your partner. If he/she is a native speaker you can definitely use phrasal verbs and idioms.

If he/she is not a native speaker and you feel that your partner’s English level is not high, you should use simple words and phrases both of you will understand.

Hope this helps!
