What does the expression ‘doom and gloom’ mean?
The phrase ‘doom and gloom’ describes a feeling of negativity, pessimism, or hopelessness. English speakers often use it to describe something that is very negative and discouraging, something that has disappointed them in some way or the person feels like there is no positive side to a situation.
