Generally a college is an institute that offers undergraduate degrees such as a bachelor’s degree or an associate degree. A college is usually is a lot smaller than a university.
 
A university is a bigger institute that offers undergraduate degrees but also graduate degrees which can lead to a master’s degree of a Ph.D. Universities are more diverse as the can offer various types of degrees and certifications. For example, some universities have medical or law schools or specialised programs.
 
This can differ from country to country so be sure to research the countries academic system.
