Annexion” ist wenn ein großes Land ein kleineres Land zu seinem eigenen macht. Es ist, als ob man ein Spielzeug von jemandem nimmt und sagt, dass es jetzt dir gehört. Manchmal passiert das, weil das große Land will, dass das kleine Land Teil von ihm ist, und manchmal passiert es, weil das große Land besonders stark ist und das kleine Land nicht nein sagen kann.

Die Annexion kann freiwillig oder durch Gewalt oder Drohung erfolgen und hat oft politische oder wirtschaftliche Motive.
