I am looking for an English tutor. How to find a good English tutor?

To find a really good professional English tutor is super hard. I know exactly how hard it is, as I hire tutors on a daily basis.

My name is Anastasia Koltai and I am the CEO of MyEnglishTeacher.eu. I work on this website for over 10 years. I met thousands of English tutors in my life and I have to tell you this:

There are 10 out of 1000 English tutors out there who actually know what they are doing, who can really help you, who can really improve your English.

Websites like preply & italki, etc. can only give you a selection of tutors but they can’t tell if those tutors are professionals or not. Tutors who work as freelancers on these sites are most commonly there because none of the qualified schools hired them.

This is my personal opinion, of course. There should be great tutors out there everywhere you go, but if you don’t have experience it’s just smarter to ask someone who has or to hire someone who has experience.

If you don’t have too much experience with English tutors it is better to choose a good school first which will then give you the right tutor. It is easier to choose a school than a tutor.

But how to choose the right school? (you might ask)

  1. Go for schools you’ve already heard about. They are on the market for a long time now, for a reason.
  2. Try out my school MyEnglishTeacher.eu https://www.myenglishteacher.eu/.

Why?

  • Because MyEnglishTeacher.eu is here for over 12 years
  • We represent quality & I only work with highly qualified native English tutors
  • Because 100% our students pass exams successfully from an intermediate level to a fluent level
  • Because my English tutors know how to make your lessons exciting, interesting and full of knowledge at the same time
  • Because my English tutors also know how to help you with memorizing everything you learn
  • Because we have soooo much expertise in teaching English that this website you are currently reading has 1 million visitors every single month. Because we also help you here on the blog for free.

Yes, the price might be a $5 above average in Europe but you get everything… like EVERYTHING in return.
