A baby lion is called a cub!
Cubs tend to be born after a gestation period of about 110 days (almost 4 months) in a litter (group) of between 1 and 6.
They are typically blind and very weak when they are first born, so the mother lion will give birth away from the rest of the pride (herd of lions) until they are ready to join other lions! This usually happens after about 4 to 8 weeks.
