Popcorn is the perfect snack for watching movies. It comes in enormous buckets and you can have it salty with some butter, or sweet with chocolate and caramel.

As it is very popular with moviegoers, popcorn is associated with watching exciting stories. So, when there is a conflict between others, people would jokingly say Get the popcorn! to express that they are interested in watching how the argument develops, but would not like to interfere:
