There is only one phrasal verb commonly known and used with the word lighten, it is:

Lighten up

It means, to not be so serious about something.

For example:

  • My friend is always telling me to put the TV remote back on the coffee table, so I told him to ‘lighten up’ about it because I always leave it on the sofa or table.
